About Kiln

Meet Zoë

After a decade in the newsroom, Kiln founder Zoë Lake sought a career change.

On a trip to visit family in Norway, Zoë fell in love with the country’s popular floating saunas. Struck by how fun, relaxing, and social the experience was, she began brainstorming how she could recreate it back home.

Encouraged by friends she met on her trip, Zoë hatched a business plan for

Kiln - Wisconsin’s first floating sauna.

Zoë is excited to introduce her hometown to the incredible Nordic tradition of the floating sauna by bringing Kiln to the shores of Lake Michigan in the fall of 2024.
